Misty Morning Farm is an active working farm in Fort Myers offering hands-on agricultural and agritourism experiences for the community.
Our farm experiences are designed to connect participants with real agricultural systems, responsible land stewardship, animal care, plant production, conservation, and regenerative farming practices.
Agriculture is the primary and continuous use of the property, and our agritourism activities are built around the agricultural operations taking place on the farm.
Open to the Public
Misty Morning Farm’s agricultural and agritourism experiences are open to members of the general public, subject to session availability, age appropriateness, and safety requirements.
Participation does not require enrollment in Acton Academy Estero or any other school or educational program.
Farm experiences are offered independently of school tuition and enrollment.
What Participants May Experience
Depending on the season, current farm operations, and the specific session offered, experiences may include:

Learn Through Real Agriculture
Our goal is to help participants better understand where food comes from, how healthy agricultural systems work, and what responsible stewardship looks like in practice.
Rather than simply observing agriculture from a distance, participants may have opportunities to interact with real farm systems, ask questions, complete hands-on activities, and learn from experienced agricultural professionals.
Misty Morning Farm’s agricultural education experiences are designed to promote agricultural literacy, conservation, environmental stewardship, and an appreciation for working farms.
A Working Farm
Misty Morning Farm operates year-round as a bona fide agricultural property.
Agricultural activities on the farm include livestock, poultry, plant propagation, nursery activities, regenerative agriculture, pond and aquatic systems, and other agricultural uses.
Agritourism experiences are secondary to and directly connected with the agricultural activities taking place on the property.
Session-Based Participation
Farm experiences are offered by individual session, program, or event.
When a participation fee applies:
Registration is completed separately for the specific farm experience.
Fees are assessed by session or day.
Participation fees are not part of school tuition.
Fees are not credited toward enrollment in any educational program.
School enrollment is not required to participate.
This allows families and members of the community to participate in agricultural experiences independently and based on their own interests and availability.
Who Can Participate?
Programs may be designed for different ages, family groups, homeschool families, community groups, or members of the general public.
Each experience will identify any age recommendations, participant limits, clothing requirements, safety information, or other details that apply.
Participation is subject only to appropriate capacity and safety considerations.

Aquaponics Gardening
Join Dr. Geoff for a hands-on aquaponics experience exploring how fish, plants, water, and beneficial microbes work together in a living agricultural system. Participants will investigate water quality, plant growth, and the natural cycles that help aquaponic systems thrive.

Join Mike for a hands-on plant propagation experience and learn how new plants are started from seeds, cuttings, and other propagation methods. Participants will explore root development, growing conditions, and the techniques used to produce healthy plants in a working nursery setting.

No. Misty Morning Farm experiences are open to the general public and do not require enrollment in Acton Academy Estero or any other school.

No. Misty Morning Farm is an active agricultural property offering agricultural and agritourism experiences. Acton Academy Estero’s primary instructional campus is located in Bonita Springs.
Are these school classes?

Do I register through Acton Academy?
No. Registration for public farm experiences is handled independently through Misty Morning Farm.

What should participants bring?
Requirements vary by program, but participants may be asked to bring closed-toe shoes, appropriate outdoor clothing, sunscreen, a water bottle, and other items specific to the activity.
